2010 Australian Koala Silver Coins
The Australian Koala Silver Coin Series, first introduced in silver in 2007, has quickly become a favorite around the world. The furry marsupial is native to Australia and has quickly become iconic of the country.

The reverse portrays a Koala Bear (Phascolarctos cinereus) sitting on a branch eating eucalyptus leaves. Underneath the animal is the size of the coin (1/2 oz, 1 oz, 10 oz, 1 kilo) and “999 Silver”.
The obverse contains a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with “Elizabeth II”, “Australia”, “2010″ and the denomination surrounding.
No mintage limit has been set for any of the Koala Coins which are available in 4 different sizes:

Hopefully the Silver Koala coin will be as sucsessful as the Silver Kookaburra series… at the moment the 2007 Silver Koala coin is very difficult to get and does sell at a very high price, if you can buy one cheaply buy it….
Okay, is $50 a fair price each in a lot of 20 for 2007 AUS Koalas? Everyone I can find is sold out. Should the price be higher or lower? Any ideas?
I just ordered one of these….great looking coin. I’m partial to silver coins and wanted to branch out from US and Canadian coins to some of these Australian ones.
