Silver Coin Commemorates Fall of Berlin Wall
The Perth Mint of Australia has created the Fall of the Berlin Wall Silver Proof Coin, commemorating one of the world’s most memorable events of the late twentieth century

This 99.90 percent pure silver coin celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the wall that stood for over 28 years separating West and East Berlin, which symbolized the separation created by the Cold War. This wall stood until 1989, when visa-free travel was once again allowed between East and West Berlin. This was shortly followed by the reunification of Germany.
